Quetta Gladiators pacer Naseem Shah will not be present for selection in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for a week as the team’s physiotherapist has advised him to rest, the franchise announced.

The fast-bowler experienced pain in his left ankle and left the field Thursday during the fixture against Peshawar Zalmi, according to a statement.

“The ankle strain was treated initially last night and today as well. Naseem will continue his rehabilitation with Quetta Gladiators,” the statement read.

The side has yet to determine whether or not they will name a substitute player.
