Naseem Shah admitted to hospital ahead of fifth T20I against England
Pakistan’s right-arm fast bowler Naseem Shah has been ruled out from the fifth T20I match against England in Lahore today (Wednesday), due to high fever following a chest infection.
According to reports, the 19-year-old bowler’s health got deteriorated on Tuesday. He was initially treated in the hotel by the team doctor. Later when his fever got high then he was shifted to a private hospital in Lahore.
Shah also went through dengue screening as he is suffering from a viral infection. He will not be available to Pakistan in today’s match against England, while his future availability for the remaining matches against England depends on his medical reports.
This is a big blow for Pakistan ahead of the crucial 5th T20 against England in Lahore today.
The 7 matches T20 series is leveled as both teams won 2 matches each in Karachi. The young pacer was rested for three matches against England in Karachi.
It was reported that he will play today in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
After the action-packed 4 T20s in Karachi, Pakistan will now play the remaining three matches of the 7 matches’ series in Lahore.
