NEW DELHI: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has belatedly written a letter of condolence to the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) founder, Nawaz Sharif on his mother’s death.

On 22nd November, Nawaz Sharif’s mother, Begum Shamim Akhtar, had passed away in London due to severe chest infection, while she was also suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Modi has expressed extreme grief after hearing the demise of Begum Shamim Akhtar and the letter has been sent by the Indian High Commissioner to PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.

According to the sources, Maryam Nawaz and her sister have received the letter in Jati Umra.
