NAB agreed to file a supplementary complaint against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the former Prime Minister.
NAB asked Judge Azam Khan for time to file the request during a hearing of the LNG case at an Islamabad accountability court on Thursday. It has been allowed until June 11.
It says the reference would contain evidence against Abbasi’s son Abdullah Khaqan and other members of his family.
The office has said it will present in court the transaction details from the accounts of Abdullah Khaqan. It claims that billions of rupees entered into the accounts of the former Premier’s family after the LNG terminal contract was issued.
NAB says Abdullah Khaqan also had deposits made into his account, despite having no means of income.
Uzma Adil, the chairman of Abbasi and OGRA, appeared in court for the LNG connection. Abbasi’s counsel argued during the hearing that NAB had only submitted a supplementary reference in the case.
NAB rebutted that they had not yet been able to file a final appeal because they did not get the documents from Karachi.
