The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team raided the marketing office of Fazaia Housing Scheme on Saturday and arrested two men, identified as Bilal and Tanveer.
The team also seized important records from the office.
According to details, the investigation has been initiated over the complaints of more than 6,000 affecttees, told NAB officials and added that 1.3 billion pkr were invested in the scheme.
The NAB officials further told that Chairman of the Bureau Justice retired Javed Iqbal tasked to complete the inquiry into the matter with immediate effect.
Javed Iqbal had been requested to initiate the fresh inquiry on allegation of cheating over 6,000 people.
On November 30, dozens of people, including women and children, had staged a protest demonstration at the Fazaia Housing Scheme office in Karachi for the recovery of their invested money.
