NAB should be dissolved to run country: Shahid Khaqan

KARACHI: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) should be dissolved in order to run the country.

Addressing media in Karachi, the former prime minister also said that he was waiting for the moment when the Supreme Court would take a suo moto notice of the incident of arrest of the inspector general of Sindh police in Karachi.

He said the federal ministers should relay that what performance they had given apart from doing character assassination of leaders of the opposition. “All they do is level allegation on people and they have no regard for their ministries. They should tell people what work they had done in past more than two years,” he said.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he would not comment on statement of a person who has no character. He said that those putting up banners against Ayaz Sadiq in Lahore should be identified.

He said strange things were going on in the country. He asked that who would be responsible for the destruction in the country due to hybrid model.

Talking about inflation, the PML-N leader said that corruption in sugar had climbed 300 billions rupees and in wheat more than 400 billion rupees. “There’s nobody to be held accountable as money was being drained out of the masses’s pockets,” he said.
