ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team on Friday placed Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Faryal Talpur under house arrest in Islamabad in a case pertaining to fake bank accounts.
The NAB has informed the speaker National Assembly about arrest of sister of former president Asif Ali Zardari, who was arrested on June 10. Talpur’s house has been declared sub-jail.
The anti-graft body said self-respect of Talpur was observed earlier and would be honoured in the future as well.

Bilawal Bhutto has arrived to meet his aunty at her house in the capital territory.
Doctors have also been called to conduct Talpur’s medical examination.
The bureau may present the PPP leader in an accountability court on Saturday.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) had on June 10 rejected the petition Zardari and his sister in the case related to money laundering through fake bank accounts.
They now have the option of appealing against the high court verdict in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The case against the duo relates to the transaction of Rs150 million to the Omni Group, a company owned by both the PPP leaders, through alleged fake bank accounts.
