NAB inquiry against Nawaz Sharif completed after 20 years

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has completed a 20-year inquiry against Nawaz Sharif over the alleged distribution of plots in the Lahore Development Authority.
According to sources, the Combined Investigation Team has sent a sealed report regarding the inquiry to the DG NAB. The prosecution wing will give a legal opinion on the CIT report at the regional board meeting.
A complaint was received against Nawaz Sharif on April 3, 2000. NAB officials told Hum News that after any inquiry is completed, the final decision is taken at the executive board meeting.
The meeting of the Executive Board is chaired by the Chairman NAB. Grade 19 and high profile cases are approved by the Executive Board.
According to the petitioner, Nawaz Sharif along with DG LDA gave an examination of plots. Nawaz Sharif abolished the quota of plots and allotted plots to the people of his choice.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s spokesman Muhammad Zubair while talking to Hum News said that cases were made against Nawaz Sharif on political grounds. Not a single allegation of corruption has been proved against him.
