PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday grilled former commissioner of Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zia ur Rehman.
The NAB had summoned Zia ur Rehman on Aug 25 (today) at 11:00am at its Peshawar office. He is accused of embezzlement in buying and selling of government machineries and illegal appointments. He is also accused of accumulating assets beyond means of income.
Jamiat Ulema e Islam-F Chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman’s younger brother served as the commissioner at from 2013 to 2014, then from 2016 to 2019.
