ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday filed a reference against Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, alleging him of misuse of power in provincial power project.
In the reference, NAB accused the CM of releasing funds for energy projects in contravention to the rules, causing losses to the national exchequer. The reference was filed in an accountability court in Islamabad.
Omni Group’s Abdul Majeed Ghani was also named among 17 others in the reference.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has condemned the reference while terming it ‘an attack on Sindh’.
“Whenever NAB finds Imran Khan in trouble, it starts victimising opposition. The Broadsheet scandal has exposed the NAB completely,” said Secretary Information PPP Parliamentarians, Shazia Atta Marri MNA while reacting to the NAB reference. (The News reported)
Opposition parties (PPP and PML-N) have frequently termed NAB cases against their leaders as the ruling party, PTI’s ‘personal vendetta’.
