ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has invited European Union investors to invest in Pakistan to contribute to economic development of the country.
Talking to EU Ambassador to Pakistan Androulla Kaminara in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said Pakistan has vast potential of investment in various sectors.
The speaker said the present government had introduced investment friendly policies for development of economic and industrial sectors. He said the projects being executed under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) had accelerated economic activity in the country.
Asad Qaiser said peaceful Afghanistan was imperative for peace and progress in the region, including Pakistan.
The EU ambassador said steps were being taken to enhance volume of trade with Pakistan. She said the EU mission would continue playing its role for improving parliamentary cooperation.
Androulla Kaminara said the European Union would also continue to extend its cooperation for socio-economic development in Pakistan, including infrastructural development.
