NA session to elect Speaker to be held on April 22
ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly (NA) Secretariat on Wednesday announced that the election for the seat of the speaker will be held on April 22 during the NA session at 3:00pm
Earlier, it was announced that the election for the NA speaker will be held on April 16 (Saturday). According to the revised schedule, the nomination papers for the office of the NA speaker will be submitted tomorrow (Friday).
The seat fell vacant after the resignation of Asad Qaiser who, hours before the Supreme Court’s deadline for the vote of no-confidence motion against former Prime Minister Imran Khan was to expire, addressed the assembly to announce the decision.
