INDIA: A residential structure collapsed in Mumbai which resulted in 11 deaths and 18 injuries.
According to Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the incident occurred at 11pm on Wednesday.
Residents from the three nearby buildings were evacuated earlier as structures were not in stable condition.
The additional CP, Dilip Sawant revealed that a G+2 building fell on another building causing 11 deaths out of 18 as the rest were rescued.
Search and rescue operations are underway to find if anyone is trapped under the rubble.
The incident occurred due to rain. The injured persons have been shifted to BDBA hospital, he added.
