In the 21th match match of the Pakistan Super League season six, Multan Sultans have beaten Peshawar Zalmi by eight wickets at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, Multan Sultans won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat first. The Zalmi scored 166 runs with seven dismissals in the first innings, setting 167-run target for the Sultans to win the game.
Shahnawaz Dhani took four wickets against the Zalmi. In the second innings, the Sultans chased the target in the 17th over as Captain Mohammad Rizwan contributed 82 runs in the team’s scoreboard.
It was the second league stage match between the two franchises. Peshawar Zalmi had beaten Multan Sultans by six wickets on February 23 at National Stadium, Karachi.
Peshawar Zalmi stand third in the points table while Multan Sultans claim the fifth position.
Earlier, the PSL6 was postponed in March due to growing Covid-19 concerns in Pakistan. It was later rescheduled in United Arab Emirates which resumed on June 9.
