Multan rally has no moral ground amid spike in coronavirus cases: Shibli

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz said the Multan public gathering had no moral, no legal and no ethical ground amid spike in Covid-19 cases.
Talking with a news channel, Shibli Faraz urged the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership, to avoid instigating people for spreading violence in the country.
He said the direction given by Jamiat Ulema e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman to workers and students of seminaries for creating trouble was regrettable.
Commenting on the outcome of public meetings being organized by the PDM, he said that public had rejected the ideology of the opposition parties and they would not come out for attending gathering in Multan.
To a query, the information minister said it was impossible to stop accountability against the corrupt.
“All the opposition leaders are criminals who are creating such an environment which leads to disaster,” he said.
The PDM has announced to hold a public meeting in Multan which would be led by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Maulana Fazl ur Rehman.
