Mufti Taqi Usmani asks people to offer prayer at mosques adopting COVID-19 guidelines

KARACHI: Vice President and Shaykh al-Hadith at Darul Uloom Karachi, Mufti Taqi Usmani has asked people to offer prayer at mosques by adopting the guidelines issued by the federal government for offering congregational prayers.
In a statement, Mufti Taqi Usmani said since the coronavirus pandemic had exceeded the expectations and its end was not expected any soon, so businesses and congregational prayers could not be halted for longer. He asked people to offer special prayers and supplications in the last 10 days of Ramadan.
He expressed hope from the Sindh government to perform their religious duty and respect sentiments of Muslims by not putting any hurdle in their prayers. “The government and citizens should play their role in eradication of the pandemic, anarchy and sectarianism for betterment of the country,” he said.
