KARACHI: Globally celebrated, top religious scholar of Pakistan Mufti Taqi Usmani has appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan’s historical speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
“The speech made by Imran Khan in the UN General Assembly, specially the confidence, bravery and unminced eloquence in which he highlighted the issues of Islamophobia, the honor of the Prophet (SAW) and occupied Kashmir deserves congratulation a hundred times,” Mufti Taqi Usmani said using his Twitter account.
He said the way the PM expressed his commitment to the dispute of Kashmir was the heartbeat of every Pakistani.
Former chief minister Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti has also appreciated Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at the UNGA.
In a series of tweet, she said who would have thought that one fine day, a Pakistani would warn the world about dangers of a fascist organization like the RSS.
Mehbooba Mufti said let us stand with Kashmir and added that this inhuman siege imposed to cage and repress Kashmiris must end.
Meanwhile, former Member of UK Parliament, George Galloway has also commended Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at the UN General Assembly.
In his tweet, he said Imran Khan played first-class Captain’s innings at UN General Assembly on Kashmir Bleeds.
George Galloway, pointing out Imran Khan said, “Well played Sir”.

In an interview with CNN, Prime Minister Imran had said world needed to understand the gravity of the human rights situation after the curfew was lifted from the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He had said the enormity of the situation could be gauged from the presence of 900,000 troops in the held territory.
Imran Khan had ruled out a meeting with his Indian counterpart in New York after what Modi had done in the Occupied Kashmir. He had said besieging the Kashmiris for over 50 days was testimony of the mindset in India that believed in hate.
