Ms Marvel’s episode starring Mehwish, Fawad in the list of ‘Best Episodes of 2022’
The Hollywood Reporter has released a list of episodes that have been selected by their TV critics and Sharmeen Obaid’s Ms Marvel’s much-acclaimed episode, Time and Again starring Fawad Khan and Mehwish Hayat is on the list.
The heartbreaking love story between the duo is now dubbed as one of the Best TV episodes of 2022.
The critics’ review stated, “In the same way that Watchmen taught huge swathes of its audience about the Tulsa massacre for the first time, Ms Marvel makes indelible the Partition of India by tapping into the deeply personal wounds inflicted by that historical event, and by underlining the ways its consequences have echoed through generations of South Asian families”.
Taking to Instagram, Mehwish Hayat announced the news to all her followers. The star wrote, “WOW !!!! The Hollywood Reporter TV Critics have picked our episode ‘TIME AND AGAIN’ of Ms Marvel showing Aisha and Hassan’s heartbreaking love story as one of the Best TV episodes of 2022”.
“It is such an amazing honour to be singled out in this way against so many other more established shows”, the actress wrote.
The Punjab Nahi Jaungi actress also expressed gratitude towards her director, “Thank you Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy for being the best director one could have asked for”.
