MQM-P’s Nasreen Jalil set to become next Governor Sindh

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sent a summary to the President of Pakistan to appoint MQM-Pakistan leader Nasreen Jalil as the new Governor of Sindh.
According to sources, Shehbaz Sharif has sent a summary to the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi to make Nasreen Jalil the Governor of Sindh.
Muttahida Qaumi Moment (MQM-P) had proposed five names for the post of Governor of Sindh to the Prime Minister, including Nasreen Jalil, Aamir Khan, Amir Chishti, Wasim Akhtar and Kishwar Zehra.
If the summary is approved by the President, Nasreen Jalil will be the first female Governor of Sindh after almost half a century.
Before her, Rana Liaquat Ali Khan, wife of the late Liaquat Ali Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, was the Governor of Sindh from 1973 to 1975.
