MQM (P) surprises government as it decides to support opposition’s No-Confidence motion

Before the No-Confidence motion, Prime Minister Imran Khan has been surprised by the opposition, the major government ally MQM-P agreed to vote for the opposition over No-Cofidence Motion.
According to sources, the issues between the Opposition and the MQM-P have been settled after which the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan has apparently lost its majority in the National Assembly.
Sources said that the Opposition has got a majority in the National Assembly without any dissident government members, however, a formal announcement is yet to be made in this regard.
According to opposition sources, MQM will support the opposition in the No-Confidence motion and an agreement has been reached between the two in this regard.
The draft has been signed by the leaders of MQM Pakistan and the United Opposition, the agreement has been confirmed by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and MQM-P Senator Faisal Sabzwari in a tweet.
Senator Faisal Sabzwari said in his tweet that the agreement between United Opposition and MQM Pakistan has been finalized while the details will be formally communicated to the media after the ratification of the proposed agreement by the PPP’s CEC and the MQM Pakistan Coordinating Committee.
Besides, according to the statement of PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi, a joint press conference between the opposition and MQM leaders will be held in Islamabad today at 4 pm.
