 Motorway police foil attempt to steal sacrificial animals

GUJRANWALA: Motorway police on Monday foiled an attempt to steal three sacrificial animals worth lacs of rupees and arrested two suspects near Gujranwala.

According to details, motorway police have ramped up patrolling in view of the Eid ul Adha activities. Police signaled a vehicle to stop on violation of motorway rules, however the drive sped up and tried to run away leaving behind their vehicles.

Nevertheless, the motorway police foiled their attempt and arrested the suspects namely, Sabir Hussain son of Ghulam Muhammedn and Irfan son of Ghulam Muhammed.  Both the suspects are residents of Lahore.

Upon investigation, the suspects admitted to stealing the cattle from Gujranwala and wanted to sell them in Lahore.
