 Most wanted TTP commander shot dead in South Waziristan: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Friday conducted an intelligence-based operation on terrorist hideout in Sharwangi, Tiarza area of South Wazirstan on confirmation of terrorists’ presence.

During an exchange of fire a high value target, a commander of banned outfit TTP, Nooristan alias Hasan Baba was killed.

Media wing of armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the most sought and wanted terrorist was an expert in IED and master trainer who was involved in martyrdom of more than 50 security forces personnel since 2007.

On Feb 17, three terrorists were killed in an intelligence based operation by security forces in Mirali area of North Waziristan.

“These terrorists were involved in target killing, kidnapping for ransom, extortion, attacks on security forces and IED explosions,” the ISPR had said.
