Morocco and Israel agreed to start normalising relations on Thursday. The announcement of bilateral cooperation came as a result of US-brokered deal.

The incumbent president of the United States, Donald Trump, as an exchange for ending its conflict with Isreal, agreed to recognise Morocco’s claim over the Western Sahara, a disputed land contested by a separatist group ‘The Polisario Front‘.

US President made following announcements on his twitter account:

Morocco has become the fourth Arab country to establish diplomatic ties with Israel after the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan.
