More than 50 percent traffic signals are damaged in Karachi

Karachi: More than 50 per cent of traffic signals on major city highways have been reported to be damaged. The Traffic Engineering Department wrote a written letter to save themselves.

According to details, out of 100 signals in the city, 52 signals are waiting for repairs, most are damaged in District City and South, 19 in City, 17 in South, 8 in East, 4 in Central, 3 in Malir and 3 in West, have damaged traffic signals.

Signal malfunction caused traffic on I-Chandrigar Road, Parade Street, traffic flow on MA Jinnah Road have also been affected by signal malfunction.

Citizens receive hand-to-hand fines for breaking the closed signal, but where does the money go? Police remains silents on this question.
