Monsoon rains continue to hit Karachi today

The Intermittent rains have been continuing in different parts of the city since Tuesday. The monsoon rains are likely to continue today as well, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast.
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is still entering Sindh from the Arabian Sea, after which more rains are expected in different parts of Karachi.
The Meteorological Department has forecast thundershowers in the city in the evening or at night till July 9.
A statement issued by the Meteorological Department said that more monsoon rains are expected this week, with a series of monsoon winds intensifying in most parts of the country over the next 24 to 48 hours.
A statement issued by the department further said that the monsoon winds are likely to intensify again from the end of this week.
Meteorological Department stated that during the night of July 5 to July 7, Zhob, Ziarat, Barkhan, Loralai, Kohlu, Quetta, Kalat, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Naseerabad, Sibi, Panjgur, Turbat, Pasni rain with strong winds expected and thundershowers are expected in Gwadar, Ormara, Ketch, Awaran, Kharan, Mirpur Khas, Dadu, Karachi, Thatta and Badin.
On the other hand, K Electric spokesman Imran Rana said that reports of rain have been received in different parts of Karachi, KE staff is reviewing the situation on high alert, more information will be provided soon, Use caution and keep away from all electrical installations.
