Mohammad Haris replaces injured Fakhar Zaman in T20 World Cup

Pakistan’s right-handed batsman Mohammad Haris has replaced power-hitter Fakhar Zaman in the T20 World Cup 2022. Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out from the tournament after his knee injury aggravated.
After Fakhar Zaman’s knee injury, the Pakistan’s team management requested to include Mohammad Haris in the squad, which has been approved by the event technical committee (ETC) of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
Mohammad Haris was in the list of Pakistan team’s reserved players.
Fakhar Zaman, who suffered a knee injury in Asia Cup 2022, was included in the T20 World Cup squad in place of the unfit Usman Qadir.
Fakhar Zaman did not play the matches against India and Zimbabwe, but he was given a chance in the match against the Netherlands, where he suffered an injury again.
Yesterday, while talking to journalists in Sydney, the Pakistan team doctor and PCB’s chief medical officer Dr. Najeeb Soomro admitted that, “in any sport you take risks, sometimes the risks pay off, sometimes they don’t.”
He added that after Fakhar Zaman’s injury, the team management has requested a replacement player for Fakhar Zaman from the ICC technical committee.
