NEW YORK: The United States leading daily newspaper, The New York Times, headlined saying that Modi-led BJP administration in India has entrenched corruption, seized institutions and fanned religious hatred.
In the article, the paper speaks of the view that the policies of the BJP government aim to methodically create a violent Hindu-nationalist society.
The paper writes says that by cleaving it profoundly between Hindus and Muslims, the divisive Citizenship Amendment Act has put India on the verge of collapse.
It also quotes South Asia director for Human Rights Watch Meenakshi Ganguly who said BJP government has been fostering a culture of hate and bigotry in India as government supporters commit all sorts of crimes because they have political cover.
