ML-1 project to provide 150,000 job opportunities for youth: railways minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Thursday said that tender of ML-1 project envisaging up gradation of the railways infrastructure would be opened by Sept 20.
“This project will provide one hundred and fifty thousand job opportunities. We will try to employ underprivileged people in the project,” he said while talking to the media in Rawalpindi.
The minister said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government would complete its mandated tenure and serve the masses.
Sheikh Rasheed said the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan would take forward the country and address all the problems of Rawalpindi including water.
He announced to spend 40 crore rupees at the Rawalpindi hospital where former prime minister Benazir Bhutto breathed her last. He rebuked the Pakistan Peoples Party for not spending even a single penny on it during their tenure.
