“Military Leadership wants to bring ailing Musharraf back to Pakistan,” Says DG ISPR

In light of Pervez Musharraf’s ailing health, Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has said the top military leadership wants to bring ailing Pervez Musharraf back to Pakistan.
Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar said that his family had been contacted to bring Musharraf back, the decision was to be taken by his family.
The DG ISPR said that in the health condition of General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, the institution and the leadership are of the view that Pervez Musharraf should return. In this regard, the family of Pervez Musharraf was contacted. It is up to their family and their doctors to decide if they can allow them to travel in such conditions.
He said that if both the issues come to light then only arrangements can be made. The institution feels that General (retd) Pervez Musharraf should be brought to Pakistan.
Notably, former President General (retd) Pervez Musharraf is residing in Dubai and his health had deteriorated in recent days.
