Meta reveals the most used emojis by Pakistanis
On the occasion of world emoji day, Meta releases the most used emojis by Pakistanis on different social media platforms.
Social media conversations are incomplete without emojis. It is a very important part of our daily routine. Emojis are a useful way to express different emotions. From Millenials to Generation Z, all prefer using emojis to connect with their friends and family.
In Pakistan, some emojis remained the top favourites on Facebook, which include: Face holding back tears, a face with a peeking eye and a Saluting face.
Whereas, Generation Z users aged between 18 to 24 years, used ‘Red Heart Emoji’ the most. Other emojis which have been used by them are, faces with tears of joy, black heart emoji, thumbs up and rolling on the floor laughing the most.
The red heart was also the top choice among millennials aged between 25 to 44 years. The second and third most popular emojis on their list, respectively, were thumbs up and faces with tears of joy.
Last but not least, those in the population of Generation X who are 45 years or older share the same preference for communication. They also chose the red heart and thumbs up to express their thoughts.
On the account of World Emoji Day, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that WhatsApp users can now respond to messages and group chats with a full selection of amusing emoticons and a skin tone of their own choice. Previously, users were limited to using only six emojis to respond to messages and group chats.
