ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that rain would lash different parts of the country this week.

Met Department official Khalid Malik, in an interview with Hum News, said that clouds would burst in the first week of December across the country. He said rains on Dec 7 and 8 would increase the intensity of cold weather in most of the areas.

He also said that Karachi would experience extended winter season this year and its residents would have to encounter more freezing condition.

The met department has predicted that smog is likely to happen in some parts of Punjab in the morning.
