 Mercury likely to hit 42 degrees in Karachi

The current hot spell in Karachi is likely to persist till May 25, with maximum temperature expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius on Tuesday (today).

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz said that the weather in the city is likely to be hot and dry today while the temperature could reach 40 to 42 degrees Celsius.

According to the chief meteorologist, hot and dry winds are likely to blow from the northwest, however, the restoration of sea breezes in evening is expected to reduce the intensity of heat.

He said that the weather in the city is likely to remain hot in the coming days but the intensity of heat in Karachi is expected to decrease after May 25.
