Meesha Shafi to star alongside Hasan Minhaj in upcoming film ‘Mustache’

After singing in the Indian OTT show, Meesha Shafi is all set to make her mark in the acting world alongside famous comedian Hasan Minhaj.
Imran J Khan, writer and director, is working on his first feature film titled Mustache and has already gathered an ensemble cast for the Pakistani-American coming-of-age film.
Imran J Khan, known for the critically acclaimed short film “Prom,” which was based on concepts from Minhaj’s stand-up special “Homecoming King,” makes his directorial debut with this movie, according to the entertainment website Deadline.
Rizwan Manji, Atharva Verma, Ayana Manji, Meesha, Alicia Silverstone and Hasan have signed up to be a part of the autobiographical project.
Ilyas (Verma), a quirky 13-year-old boy, is the main character of “Mustache.” He attempts to navigate the social order of his new California public school while sporting a moustache that his parents will not allow him to shave off. Rizwan will play Ilyas’ father Hameed, with singer Meesha playing his mother, and Ayana portraying his school friend, Yasmeen.
