Meera is Atiq-ur-Rehman’s wife, Court declared

Lahore: Sessions court has declared actress Meera as wife of Atiq-ur-Rehman.

Lahore Sessions Court has declared the marriage certificate of actress Meera and Atiq-ur-Rehman valid. Actress Meera had filed an appeal to deny her marriage to Atiq-ur-Rehman. Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Mazhar Abbas heard an appeal. Upon completion of the hearing, the session court rejected Meera’s appeal for denial of marriage.

The court ruled that the marriage certificate of actress Meera and Atiq-ur-Rehman was valid.

On March 6, 2019, Meera had filed an appeal in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Adnan Tariq against the decision of the Family Court and sought annulment of the decision of the Family Court.

Lahore Family Court Judge Babar Nadeem, while hearing the case in 2018, had declared Meera’s denial of marriage as false. According to the court, the reason for the dispute between the actress and Atiq-ur-Rehman was the house in Defense on which the two had filed criminal cases against each other and which had been pending in the courts for the last ten years.

Actress Meera was of the view that she did not know Atiq-ur-Rehman. The marriage certificate and the pictures shown are fake. However, after the decision of the Family Court, they had filed an application in the Sessions Court of Lahore to challenge it.
