The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh went under the medical examination at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Karachi on Monday
Haleem Adil Sheikh was shifted to NICVD as he complained about severe pains after being subjected to alleged torture in jail.
However, during the medical examination of his body, the doctors found tortured marks on the shoulder, neck, hand and other parts of his body.
“The goons of gang war attacked me as soon I entered the jail cell. I was saved by the jail administration during the attack of the goons”, said Haleem Adil Sheikh.
Karachi police had arrested Sheikh from PS-88 Malir on February 16 in accordance with ECP’s laws which state that a public office holder cannot visit any constituency during the by-elections. The development came after the PTI leader refused to leave the constituency.
Earlier, on Friday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Haleem Adil Sheikh was sent to jail for judicial remand till February 25.
“Haleem Adil Sheikh’s life is in danger,” said another PTI leader and provincial legislator Khurram Sher Zamman.
Speaking about the incident where reportedly a snake was found in Adil’s police cell, the PTI MPA said that Prime minister Imran Khan had been informed about the situation.
