Media, economy, politics in Pakistan not free: Bilawal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Friday said neither media nor politics nor economy in Pakistan was free under the government of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
“What kind of freedom is it? Neither politics is free, nor journalism. Not only our government is selected, but our media is also selected,” Bilawal Bhutto said while addressing a mammoth ‘Azadi March’ rally of the opposition parties led by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) in Islamabad.

He said what kind of freedom it was that media broadcasted Indian spy agent Kulbhushan Jadhev’s interview but not former president Asif Ali Zardari’s interview and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl’s press conference.
The PPP chairman said if the International Monetary Fund (IMF) decided that who should be our finance minister, head of the central bank and head of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) then our economy was also not free. “We don’t accept it.”
He also said the puppet government had sold Kashmir.
“If we will have a puppet PM, then it would affect our foreign policy as well. You all have witnessed that in tenure of the puppet PM, a historical attack was carried out on Kashmir,” he said.
The chairman PPP said always the selected government put burden on masses because they did not rule on choice of the masses but they came into power through selectors.
He said the government had announced tax amnesty schemes for billionaires, however no amnesty scheme was announced for common men, labourers and farmers.
Pakistani people know that the puppet PM had compromised on the Kashmir dispute. He would do nothing but tweet in this regard. Every Pakistani would fight for the Kashmir cause till his last breathe but would not accept this bargain. Every political party is now chanting ‘go selected go’.
