Mazari asks US to condemn Israeli, Indian attacks on media

Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari has questioned the United States’ policies towards the attacks on media houses and journalists in the Indian Occuppied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK) and the occupied Palestinian terroteries while responding to the US Embassy on Twitter.
Earlier on Wednesday, the US Embassy posted a message on Twitter to condemn the attack on Pakistani journalist and YouTuber Asad Ali Toor.
Responding to the US Embassy’s tweet, Shireen Mazari wrote: “Our govt has taken serious note of the attack on journalists in Pak & police has been asked to investigate thoroughly registered FIRs & act. We have laid a strong Journalist & Media Professional Protection Bill in parliament.”
The minister further asked the US to act and condemn “apartheid Israeli state’s bombing of a media building in Occupied Palestine”.
She also said that we (Pakistan) demanded punishment for those responsible for this attack on entire journalist community plus those responsible for attacking individual journalists.
“US should also condemn Indian govt’s attacks on journalists in IIOJK and demand action against the perpetrators. If this statement is to have credibility then we need to see its applicability worldwide by the US govt,” she added.
