KARACHI: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar on Friday demanded from the federal and provincial governments to provide ventilators, coronavirus test kits and other medical equipment for Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Meanwhile, he thanked Sindh Governor Imran Ismail for providing medical equipment for Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Imran Ismail gave away one thousand personal protective equipment, three thousand surgical masks, sanitiser pouches, sanitiser bottles and biscuits for patients.
“In order to make Abbasi Shaheed Hospital more active we need philanthropists to provide more equipment for it. Being third largest hospital of Karachi, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital covers a large population of the megalopolis, however due to lack of medical equipment it is unable to do so,” Waseem Akhtar said.
