Masked men ‘try to attack Nawaz Sharif’ in London
Four men wearing masks allegedly attempted to attack former prime minister Nawaz Sharif by trying to barge into his office in London.
The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) workers, who stay at the office on a daily basis, stopped the suspected persons at the main gate. The suspects were perplexed upon seeing the PML-N workers, claimed a Twitter user with name of Saima Farooq and display picture of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
Maryam Nawaz tweeted, “Resorting to gross criminality in the face of political frustration and defeat. People’s voice will not be silenced by low life 3rd rate criminals. Nawaz Sharif is the voice of the people of Pakistan and will not be silenced, Insha’Allah. May Allah protect you Nawaz Sharif.”
PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah condemned the incident by saying that taking place of such an act in London, where crimes could not be hidden, was unfathomable.
He said those were the same people who had times and again tried to attack Nawaz Sharif at his house and hospital.
“We will thoroughly get the happening investigated and bring the culprits to justice,” he said.
