Mashal Khan’s Father pins his hopes on Supreme Court

About two weeks ago, Peshawar High Court converted the death sentence awarded to the main culprit of 2017 Mardan University Lynching case , in to life imprisonment. ” We are not satisfied with the court’s decision,” said Mashal Khan’s father Mohammad Iqbal – also known as Iqbal Lala.
Mashal Khan, a 23-year-old student of the Department of Mass Communication at the Abdul Wali Khan University, became a victim of barbaric lynching by angry mob over blasphemy accusations in 2017.
During an interview with Dialogue Pakistan, Iqbal Lala expressed his concerns over recent developments in his son’s murder case: “When we were not satisfied with the decisions taken by ATC, we went to Peshawar High Court but now because we are also not satisfied with the verdict of Peshawar high Court’s judges, we will continue our struggle for justice in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.”
