Maryam’s son Junaid Safdar to not join ‘politics for now’

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz’s son, Muhammad Junaid Safdar, has clarified that he will not be contesting in general elections and will not be taking part in politics for now.
Taking to Instagram, Junaid Safdar, grandson of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, said that he came to Pakistan only to serve his parents, family and community.

“I will not be participating in any political activity, nor have I any interest in politics for now,” he said.
In a special note, Junaid added that he likes the winters of Lahore and was missing this weather in London.
The clarification came after several media reports said that Junaid Safdar will help his mother and PML-N senior vice-president Maryam Nawaz in her political activities.
Junaid Safdar has been away from public activities till now while he was in the media headlines for his grand wedding ceremony last year.
Junaid and his wife Ayesha Saif reached Pakistan today (Friday) from Doha.
On the other hand, PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz left for Geneva from London for Maryam’s surgery.
Junaid Safdar is a Cambridge graduate and has two Master’s and two Bachelor’s degrees from UK universities.
He is a polo enthusiast and has won multiple competitions representing British universities.
