LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Thursday said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif conducted six nuclear missile tests in response to India’s five.
Addressing a party workers’ gathering in Lahore, Maryam Safdar asked how someone could call the PML-N supremo a traitor who strengthened Pakistan’s defense.
“We stood against election rigging. Cure for Pakistan’s every disease lied in giving respect to vote. Sanctity of ballot was violated in 2018 general elections,” she alleged. During the incumbent government’s rule, inflation and unemployment soared, she said.

She said definitely Army was behind Raddul Fasaad operation but Nawaz Sharif was in front of it. Nawaz did not tell the armed forces that he could not increase their pay while they were going to fight big wars, she said.
The PML-N vice president expressed resentment over the IHC order for summoning her father through newspaper advertisement.
She said people would see absconding former dictator Pervez Musharraf in the ads of Nawaz because it was he who fled the country after he was indicted in treason case under Article 6.
Maryam Safdar said that Lt Gen (retd) Asim Bajwa was not being held accountable for offshore companies of his wife and family members. She said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was conducting targeted accountability only.
