Maryam Nawaz’s petition is tantamount to fraud, NAB

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reply in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) against the acquittal petition of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz in the Avenfield reference.
According to the details, the reply submitted by the NAB said that Maryam Nawaz’s plea for acquittal was inadmissible in which the facts stated in it were not true while the Supreme Court had also ruled on the allegations made in the petition. An exemplary fine is being imposed on Nawaz Sharif.
The reply submitted by NAB in the Islamabad High Court said that the accountability court had passed the judgment in accordance with the law in the Avenfield reference and a transparent trial of the Avenfield reference had taken place in the trial court. Maryam Nawaz’s father Nawaz Sharif, brother Hassan and Hussain Nawaz are fugitives from the court, Nawaz Sharif should tell the court, how he had bought properties? How he had transferred money?
The NAB also said that the Supreme Court had appointed a caretaker judge to execute the judgment. Maryam Nawaz’s plea is not only tantamount to cheating the court, but the allegations against caretaker judge fall into the category of contempt of court as the judges hearing the Panama case are still in the Judicial Service.
