ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has come out in support of students’ demand for cancellation of Cambridge exams.
“The government of Pakistan is putting the students in harm’s way by forcing them to appear for Cambridge exams when all other countries of the region have postponed them is beyond sense,” Maryam Nawaz tweeted.
Nothing was more important than the safety of our children, she said adding, “I hope sense prevails and these students are heard.”
Thousands of students have taken to Twitter to demand from Prime Minister Imran Khan to cancel the exams. More than 177,000 tweets were posted with hashtag #ImranKhanCancelExam.
