Marriyum says PTI MNAs abused, threw sanitiser’s bottle towards her

ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday claimed that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) MNAs hit her with a bottle of sanitizer and verbally abused her.
MNA Marriyum Aurangzeb said this while talking to media in Islamabad after a ruckus during the National Assembly session.
She said that they did not want the parliament to function. She said that they wanted to attack the system and also attack the NA speaker’s chair.
Due to commotion during the speech of Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif, Speaker NA Asad Qaiser had adjourned the session for 15 minutes.
On the other hand, PTI MNA Akram Cheema said that a member of opposition had hit him sanitizer bottle. He said he did not know who threw the bottle towards him, however he would not spare whoever he was. He said that he would identify the culprit through CCTV camera footage.
Earlier, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib had lamented the attitude of the opposition parties during the session of National Assembly a day ago. He said Maleeka Bokhari left eye’s cornea got hurt due to the attack of the opposition. He questioned what kind of attitude the opposition was fostering in the house.
The minister of state said the PML-N has a history of attacking the institutions in the past including the Supreme Court and the National Accountability Bureau.
He said the opposition was neither interested in legislation nor was ready to listen to the budget speeches.
