QUETTA: The man who gifted a Balochi chaddar to Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz in public gathering of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has turned out to be a wanted criminal.

Ali Hassan Brohi is counted among the biggest land grabbers in Sindh, who has illegally occupied more than 3,000 acre of district West in Karachi. Several cases are registered against him. He was once arrested by Sohrab Goth police station officials and huge cache of arms was recovered from his possession.

Ali Hassan Brohi is often seen with different Sindh ministers in pictures. He is used as a front man of Sindh ministers. A FIR was lodged against him last month for occupying 20 acre land in Anti-Encroachment Zone-I. Anti-Encroachment department sources said that more than 3000 acre land worth billions of rupees were grabbed by him. He is also alleged of opening fire on police.

He is such an influential man that police normally avoids carrying out operation against him.
