A man was shot dead on Monday night for resisting a robbery attempt at his house in Sahiwal’s Liaquatpur.

The deceased was identified as Mumtaz Dogar, who was working for a private bank as a bank manager.

According to the police, the robbers had entered Dogar’s house and were holding his family as a hostage. However, he attempted to stop the robbers following which they shot him.

The robbers took jewelry and 1 million rupees and ran away in Dogar’s car.
