 Man raped 6-year-old niece in Karachi

A 6-year-old girl was raped and subjected to the severe physical violence in Shah Latif Town area of ​​Karachi, while the police arrested the maternal uncle of the victim.

Dr Summaiya Syed, Police Surgeon of JPMC, said that the 6-year-old girl was brought from the jurisdiction of Shah Latif Town police station, where the preliminary report has found evidence of sexual abuse on the girl.

Dr Summaiya Syed confirmed that the 6-year-old has been subjected to brutal sexual abuse and physical violence and the girl was suffering from severe psychological trauma with internal injuries. DNA and other samples have been collected for tests.

The police surgeon told the examining doctors that red chilli powder was found in a ‘sensitive part’ of the girl’s body.

She said that one finger of the girl has been cut with a knife, while the skin has been removed from two more fingers and these wounds were two to three days old.

The girl told police that maternal uncle raped her and his wife cut her fingers.

Dr. Summaiya Syed furthered that the girl has multiple injuries in different stages of her body, the girl is currently admitted to the National Institute of Child Health Center.

SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur said that the suspect named in the heinous incident have been arrested and a special team has been formed to investigate the incident.

The SSP informed that marks of torture were also found on the girl’s body.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed on the complaint of the uncle of the girl, the girl was living with her maternal uncle for the last 3 months.

The complainant said that the girl’s mother was living in Larkana city of Sindh with her family.

The arrested suspect called his sister that her daughter was not well. She came to Shah Latif Town from Larkana on October 28 and saw that her daughter had been ‘severely tortured’.

The complainant stated in the FIR that in the presence of his sister, suspect Salman, his wife Samreen and Salman’s friend Ghaffar started beating the girl and attacked her with a knife and threw boiling water on her body with the intention of killing her.
