KARACHI: A man has been accused of murdering his married sister at her house for choosing her own groom.

One of the neighbors told the police the deceased and her husband, Yousaf Kamal, were from Charsadda. Kamal had rented the house near Filmistan Cinema for an year and a half.

The 25-year-old woman was at her house when her brother came and opened fire on her. He escaped after the attack. Her husband was at work when it happened.

On hearing the gun shots, the neighbors called the police immediately. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital but died on the way.

An FIR has been lodged and the police are investigating the case.
