A British man discovered creepy doll inside the walls of his home he purchased and hoped that it must have been a prank by previous owners.
The British man, Jonathan Lewis got the keys to his new home in Surrey, southeast England, on Friday and decided to have a look around.
According to DailyMail, he discovered a creepy doll inside a wall when he pull down the plaster.
‘There was a wire coming out where the previous owners had the fridge but I didn’t know where the wire was plugged in so I knocked through a bit of the plasterboard to see what was there,” Lewis said.
“I knocked through a hole about the size of a fist, shone a light in and there was a doll just sitting there.”
The rag doll was sitting in a miniature chair alongside a note which read: “Dear reader/new homeowner, thank you for freeing me!
“My name is Emily. My original owners lived in this house in 1961. I didn’t like them so they had to go.
“All they did was sing and be merry. It was sickening. Stabbing was my choice of death for them so I hope you have knives.
“Hope you sleep well.”
Despite friends urging him not to move into the house, Mr Lewis pointed out the that note didn’t looked aged – ruling out any doubt that it had been written in 1961.
The real estate agent also told Mr Lewis the renovation had only been done “four or five years ago”.
It seems more likely the doll and the note was left there as a prank by the previous owners when they were putting up the plaster wall.
However, Jonathan Lewis found the incident hilarious and stated that he will do exactly same some time.
